This report provides the cost structure of potato starch production from the extraction process. Washed and rasped potatoes are first mashed. Juice is then separated from this mash to prevent the darkening. Once the juice is separated, pulp is washed using water, extracting raw starch milk. This raw starch milk is further refined to get rid of contaminants, leading to the production of potato starch.
