White Wine Production Process from Grapes

This report contains a detailed cost analysis of white wine produced from grapes. Fresh and optimally ripened grapes are harvested, and in the case of red grapes, the skin is removed before fermentation. The fresh grapes are pressed in the winery and sulphur dioxide is added to prevent spoilage before fermentation. The cloudy sweet juice is allowed to settle, and the suspended particles are removed.
Alcoholic fermentation is initiated by the introduction of yeast into the juice. Now the wine is allowed to rest and occasionally stirred. The final product is packed with little to no oxygen exposure and a small amount of sulphur dioxide for wine preservation.
