Baker Hughes, a prominent energy technology firm, has secured a contract from Venture Global. This contract mandates Baker Hughes to deliver a modularized liquified natural gas (LNG) system along with a power island. This development, announced on October 2nd, is a continuation of previous agreements wherein Venture Global engaged Baker Hughes to provide LNG technological solutions for specific projects in Louisiana - namely, the Calcasieu Pass and Plaquemines LNG ventures.

This newly bestowed contract operates under a broader master equipment supply agreement, wherein Venture Global LNG and Baker Hughes have synergized for a staggering production capacity exceeding 100 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).

Expressing his sentiments on this collaboration, Mike Sabel, Venture Global's CEO, conveyed his appreciation for the sustained partnership. Meanwhile, Baker Hughes' Chairman and CEO, Lorenzo Simonelli, accentuated the growing demand for LNG. Highlighting Baker Hughes' prominent role in the LNG sector, it's noteworthy that approximately 60 LNG facilities, either operational or under construction worldwide, are reliant on Baker Hughes' turbomachinery. This machinery propels a remarkable 450 million tonnes per annum of the overall global LNG capacity.
