EVA Prices in China Witnessed a Moderate Uptick in August
In August, the prices of EVA experienced a slight uptick, driven by a net reduction in the production in addition to the uptick seen in the prices for Ethylene, a crucial raw material for EVA.
Initially in August, EVA production saw a rebound, followed by a decline. However, in the latter half of the month, factory prices of EVA gradually increased, contributing to a mild rise in overall prices.
This upward movement in prices was partially supported by the strong performance of raw material ethylene, particularly in the early part of August, which bolstered EVA costs. On the demand side, EVA terminal enterprises engaged in stocking based on their needs, although the demand from sectors such as foam shoe materials, cables, and wires remained relatively weak. Conversely, there was moderate stocking of photovoltaic materials, adding a layer of stability to the prices.

Moreover, manufacturers maintained strong supply prices, which further provided support for the slight increase in EVA prices during August.
