DFPCL's existing nitric acid complex in Dahej, Gujarat, will house the new manufacturing plant, given the sufficient land available for the anticipated construction. The entire project has an estimated expenditure of around ?1950 crore, encompassing preoperative expenses, contingencies, and financial costs spanning the manufacturing phase. Production is slated to commence in the second half of the fiscal year 2026, with the company employing avante-garde technology from top global tech providers for this brownfield growth.
Amidst anticipated huge demand-supply lacuna of WNA (Weak Nitric Acid) for DFPCL, and CNA for India, the company is seeking opportunity to harness its stature in the country, especially, for CNA. The corporation has meticulously strategized its expansion project that perfectly aligns with the projected take-off of demand by FY2030.
Considering India’s mammoth strides towards being a hub for manufacturing intermediates and company’s stake in nitric acid production, the brownfield expansion is foretokened to be favourable to the company’s growth. The expansion would also exhort the company to bank on the signed supply agreement with Aarti Industries that was penned last year.
