Suzlon Group signs a deal with The KP Group to supply 92 wind turbine generators, totalling the capacity of 193.2 MW
Suzlon Group, a leader in renewable energy solutions in India, has recently secured an order for a 193.2 MW wind power project from The KP Group. This project, situated in Gujarat, is part of a Wind-Solar Hybrid initiative, aligning with the state's goals to enhance its Renewable Energy output. The project will feature 92 of Suzlon's S120 - 2.1 MW wind turbine generators (WTGs), equipped with a 140m Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower, and will be located in the Vagra and Vilayat areas of Bharuch district.
As a part of the deal, Suzlon will oversee the project's execution, including supervision and commissioning, as well as post-commissioning maintenance services. Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, highlighted the significance of this development, emphasizing the conducive policy environment in Gujarat and the commitment of Indian corporations to sustainability. He noted the role of the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sector in driving this change.

Suzlon's turbines utilize Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) technology, ensuring efficient integration into the utility network. Their continuous R&D efforts aim to enhance turbine performance, especially in low wind sites, reducing energy costs.
