Solubility-wise, Diphenylamine dissolves in several chemical solvents, including acetone, ethanol, benzene, pyridine, carbon tetrachloride, ethyl acetate, acetic acid, and ether. However, it shows poor solubility in chloroform and water.

Beyond its physical and chemical properties, Diphenylamine is integral in the preparation of other chemical compounds. Its antioxidant properties make it useful as an anti-scald agent in antioxidants production. It also plays a role in producing explosive materials, serves as an intermediate for functional dyes and antioxidants, and is an effective stabilizer for celluloid or nitrocellulose products. Additionally, Diphenylamine is employed in manufacturing certain rubber, plastics, and pharmaceutical products, highlighting its versatility in various industrial applications.
