It is used in formulating chemical-resistant and heat-resistant paints and serves as a cross-linking agent in silicone polymer manufacturing.

Additionally, Ethyl Silicate is a precursor for silicon dioxide production, used in the semiconductor industry. Paints and lacquers made with Ethyl Silicate exhibit heat, chemical, corrosion, and abrasion resistance.
