Chemicals
Fatty Acid - C14 production cost report provides a comprehensive analysis and know-how for setting up a Fatty Acid - C14 production plant. The study covers all the requisite aspects that one needs to know for the production of Fatty Acid - C14. This includes manufacturing processes, raw material requirements, utility requirements, infrastructure requirements, machinery and technology requirements, manpower requirements, packaging requirements, transportation requirements, etc.
Fatty Acid - C14 or Myristic acid is a saturated long-chain fatty acid with a 14-carbon backbone. It is naturally present in coconut oil, palm oil, and butter fat, as well as found in Gladiolus italicus, Staphisagria macrosperma, and other organisms.
Myristic acid is among the most abundantly present fatty acids in milk fat (above 10%), and it accumulates fat in the body, but its consumption has a positive effect on cardiovascular health. It has a molecular weight of 228.37092 g/mol. In its pure form, it is a white solid that is not soluble in water. It has a melting and boiling point of 53.9 °C (129.02 °F; 327.05 K) and 250 °C (482 °F; 523.15 K) at 100 mmHg, respectively. It also has the role of a natural and organic compound, food, animal, plant, cosmetic and household toxin, metabolite, and plant toxin.
Myristic acid has extensive applications across many industries and manufacturing processes. In the food and beverage industry, it has the role of a flow agent and emulsifier. It is also used as an anionic/nonionic surfactant for being included in products like detergents, soaps, and textiles as an intermediate, internal or external lubricant. In personal care products it has the role of an emulsifier that is added to facial creams and lotions.
The acid is usually added to a penultimate nitrogen terminus glycine in receptor-associated kinases to confer the enzyme's membrane localisation. In the cosmetics industry, it finds application as an opacifying agent, a cleaning agent, a surfactant, and an emulsifier. Hence, all these widespread applications of the product are bolstering its industrial expansion.
