Upon heating at elevated temperatures, it decomposes, releasing hazardous fumes of nitrogen oxides, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and other hydrocarbons. As an alkaline compound, Propyl Amine easily forms salts when reacted with acids and exhibits strong basicity, similar to other aliphatic amines.
