This report consists of a detailed cost analysis of refined sugar from raw sugar. The raw sugar is converted into syrup and strained to remove impurities. Organic impurities are removed by carbonation, in which calcium hydroxide is added to the syrup and then it is brought to a boil and then filtered to remove impurities. Now the sugar water is decolorized and brought to a supersaturated state by evaporation. The supersaturated syrup is crystalised and then dried. The dried sugar is then screened and conditioned and finally is ready to be packed.
