This contract, signed in the presence of the Minister of New & Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, involves partnerships with major corporations from both countries, specifically Sembcorp Industries, Sojitz Corporation, Kyushu Electric Power, and NYK Line. Sembcorp Industries is tasked with the production of green ammonia in India, utilizing renewable energy to ensure sustainability. Kyushu Electric Power is set to integrate this green ammonia into its operations in Japan, aiming to reduce coal consumption at its power plants. Meanwhile, Sojitz Corporation will serve as the intermediary, ensuring effective collaboration between the producer and the consumer. NYK Line will handle the logistics, overseeing the transportation of green ammonia across the seas from India to Japan.
